An Independent Fundamental Baptist Evangelist

Paul Rains grew up in Mukwonago, Wisconsin where he and his family attended Mukwonago Baptist Church. Paul felt God’s call to the ministry as a teenager and surrendered to preach. As part of his preparation for ministry, he attended Baptist College of Ministry where he met his wife, Lisa (Parker) Rains.

They married in March of 2015 in Dublin, Ireland at Lisa’s home church. Shortly afterwards, they moved back to Wisconsin and Mukwonago Baptist Church where Paul now serves as staff evangelist. They also serve at their home church through children’s ministry, music ministry, Sunday school, drama ministry and ladies’ ministry.

Paul and Lisa are the proud parents of four fantastic boys: Cian, Evan, Conor and Ronan. They are passionate about ministering together as a family, not only around the country, but around the world.

Our burden in ministry is to help strengthen the local church in every way possible. I believe the local church is “the pillar and ground of the truth,” and if the church is weak the truth won’t be upheld. This weakness has a devastating effect on believers, families, the next generation, nations, and the world, and, most importantly, cripples the work of the Great Commission. God’s plan is through the Local Church, and it is our burden to do whatever we can to help as many churches, not just in the U.S., but also around the world, to be what God intends them to be.

Our ministry is centered around the preaching of God’s word. I am convinced that the preaching of the Word is the primary focus of the Evangelist and is what is needed to help strengthen God’s people. Along with the preaching, we are more than happy to be a blessing other ways. Whether it is through music, children’s meetings, soul winning visits, or spending time with the Pastor and his family, our desire is to leave with a stronger, healthier church than when we got there.
